Hi

Ladies Etiquette Newsletter, Issue #001 -- New Seasons & New Starts

April 23rd 2013

Good afternoon Ladies

Welcome to the 1st Edition of Etiquette Newsletter. It has taken a little while to send out as I have been moving house; thank you for your patience!

Well the spring has finally arrived in London after an incredibly long and cold winter. The magnolia trees are now in blossom and my little Bichon Frisé dog is bouncing around like a spring lamb! She definitely detects the change in season and the general feeling of optimism at this time of year, after the cold and snow.

I have been thinking about new seasons and new starts a lot recently, (moving house and spring weather tends to do that) and how we have an opportunity every day to renew ourselves into more poised, well-mannered and positive ladies, and take our personal and business lives in new directions.

I considered expanding my web business into professional seminars but, after receiving a lovely testimonial from a lady who uses my site to teach personal etiquette to girls who have been subjected to human sex trafficking, I knew that helping less fortunate women was my true motivation.

Thank you so much for all your encouragement and private emails of success stories. Please do share them with everyone under the Testimonials Page; they really do encourage others.

Reaching out to women who have made some mistakes through their lives and wish to start afresh is also just as important. If only we had an eraser to rub out all our errors and start again!

But, as that is not possible, we need to use our experiences to motivate ourselves, and others, to move on and leave the past behind.

And what better time to do this than the spring! It's a great time of year for new energy and a perfect opportunity for developing confidence and poise through having good manners, and focusing our attention on others.

I watched a very sad but interesting film recently, 'TRISHNA' which tells of a young Indian lady whose life is destroyed by a combination of love and circumstances.

It reminded me that women all over the world go through the same emotions and trials in life. It made me more compassionate of others mistakes and gave me hope that I can inspire others to do the same.

I would definitely recommend watching it, is a beautiful poignant film.

“I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, so we're really not that different, me and you.” Colin Raye

This is the essence of Etiquette and Manners for the Contemporary Woman. It is not just to learn the rigid rules of etiquette but more of an underlying desire to make our immediate worlds better for ourselves and those around us, and to quietly influence others to do the same.

Before I go, I would like to mention to any ladies that might also want to start their own web business like I have, that SBI! is really great. It allows you to turn your passion into an income and do something that you really enjoy.

As Irene Cara once sang... ‘Take Your Passion…and Make It Happen’!

My best wishes,

Emma
